Memorial Day Weekend & Old Navy Sale Finds!

May 29, 2020

Black Body Suit // Leopard Print Shorts // Platform Sandals also available at Zappos

Memorial Day weekend was definitely a little different this year. However I made the most of it and had a blast! My weekend was filled with great food, White Claws, shopping, good company, exploring what we could of Yellow Springs, Ohio and my first golf outing, ever!

This “Slim Can Cooler” kept my drinks chilled all weekend long! Available HERE

Ya’ll! Golf is so fun! Why have I been avoiding this my whole life?! My entire upbringing my parents desperately tried to convince me to play golf. The phrase “it’s an activity you can play your entire life” is seared into my brain. Yet due to being a hormonal brat for most of the early 2000s, I strived to defy my parents’ wishes. But here we are locked up in 2020 and GASP, dare I say my parents were right?! Only took 28 years for me to realize that! Oh how I wish my dad was here now, he’d be thrilled to hear I finally came around to the idea!

But in all seriousness, I burnt 430 active calories according to my Apple Watch and I had fun doing it! Looks like I’ll be trading in my miserable cardio workouts for the golf course moving forward 😉

On another note, as Memorial Day came and went, so did some serious retail sales. The one pro to come out of Covid-19 is all of the ongoing sales!

Over the weekend I snagged quite a few items from Old Navy. The good thing about Old Navy is that there is pretty much always some sort of sale going. If you are finding items sold out online, I have two recommendations:
1. Check back frequently as I have seen restocks happening
2. If you are able and feel comfortable going into a store in your area, many stores are fully stocked as most customers are primarily still shopping online.

  1. Chambray Cap-Sleeve Shirt Dress (I went with petite due to my height, 5’1 3/4)
  2. Jersey Swing Dress (available in multiple patterns)
  3. Fitted Crew-Neck Tee Dress (available in multiple patterns)
  4. Sleeveless Tie-Neck Swing Dress (available in multiple patterns)
  5. Tie-Waist Swim Cover-up Romper
  6. Luxe V-Neck Striped Tee
  7. Luxe Printed Crew-Neck Tee (I order in a “tall” so that I can tie the bottom up into a knot and not have the tshirt pulling across my chest or hips)
  8. Luxe Striped Crew-Neck Tee
  9. Luxe Space-Dye Crew-Neck Tee

If you haven’t tried any of Old Navy’s “Luxe Tees” you are seriously missing out! Hands down my favorite t-shirt material and I have these shirts in several colors, patterns and styles! The material is incredibly soft and the shirts can be dressed up or down. Anytime these shirts are on sale I look to snag a few more! You can sometimes find them as low as $7!

Hope everyone enjoyed a short work week, if you are working. Still furloughed and fabulous over here! 😉
